文章针对我国当今目录学基础理论建设中“书目情报”这一概念的解释、定义和实际运用都比较混乱的情况，对这一概念的来源及目前我国对这一概念存在的几种不同认识和应用进行了详细的介绍和评论，指出了这一概念在我国兴起、流行的积极意义和消极影响。
