The well-focused national DTTV transmission standard 'Frame structure and channel encoding and modulation for DTTB transrrmission'(GB20600-2006) was officially promulgated on August 30, 2006. This is a milestone in the history of Chinese DTTV development. It takes the Chinese radio and television to a new era of overall implementation of digitization. A systemic and comprehensive introduction is given lo DTTB transmission standard, so that readers can obtain a deep understanding of it and be fully prepared to promote and launch all DTTV services in an all-round way. This standard is compulsory in China. It was approved on August 18. 2006. and will be officially put in practice From August 1,2007.
