摘要
以台州学院为例,分析了地方性高等院校土木工程专业正面临着一系列严峻问题:高校扩招导致的生源质量下降、用人单位对毕业生要求提高导致的巨大就业压力、师资力量薄弱、结构不尽合理带来的教学质量滑坡、转型初期缺乏工科办学经验引发的办学特色不突出等;同时指出地方经济社会的快速发展由给土木工程专业的发展带来难得的机遇;提出只有紧扣“地方性,应用性,综合性,高教性”的办学定位,转变教育观念,深化教学改革,采取切实有效措施努力提高教学质量凸现办学特色,才能确保地方性院校的土木工程专业在激烈的竞争中生存和发展。
Taking the Taizhou University for example, we analyzes the crises the local universities face now, such as a decline in students＇quality as a result of the expansive recruitment in universities, the tremendous pressure in social employment on account of the comprehensive demands from corporate enterprises, a decline in teaching quality owing to the shortage of teachers and weakness in teacher＇s set - up and the inconspicuous characteristics in engineering course due to being in early turning period. At the same time the great opportunity favors the civil engineering specialty in local universities with the fast development of local economy. In the paper, some suggestions are presented to promote civil engineering specialty in local universities. Namely, according to the orientation of being ＂Local, Applied, Comprehensive and High Educational＂, we should change the educational idea, deepen the teaching reform, and improve the teaching quality.
