We describe a pulse power supply of 50 A which can be used in measuring critical currents and I-V characteristics of oxide superconductors. The I-V characteristic measurements for bulk YBa3Cu3O7-x using the supply is reported. In comparison with the DC measurement, We find that the heat effect can be avoided successfully over a great range of current in the pulse measurement.
