摘要
对含单负材料的光子晶体进行理论研究,发现可以用固体物理学中的紧束缚近似方法描述含单负材料的光子晶体能带的形成机制,说明由单负材料组成的光子晶体的能带可以看成是电磁波在两种材料界面共振隧穿形成的局域模迭加而成的,其通带可以看成是局域模展宽所得到的,局域模之间的交叠积分决定着通带宽度的大小.
We use the tight-binding method in solid state physics to describe the energy bands from the PCs consisting of single-negative materials. We find that the bands in this kind of PCs are formed by the coupling of localized modes originating from the interactions of interface modes between the two kinds of materials. And the band wide is decided by the inter action of the interface modes.
