This paper first analyzes the requirement of intellectualization in information retrieval system at present. Then, it probes into two types of intelligent information retrieval research:Intelligent Interface System and Intelligence Information Retrieval System. The difficulties of realizing intelligence information retrieval system and its present situation of application are discussed at last.
