In Toni Morison＇s Beloved, the protagonist Seth＇s psychology was gradually twisted because of the devastation of the slavery from her childhood. Under such kind of background, female slaves were only the producing machines of the slave owners. Although Seth deeply loved her children, she had to kill her own children, confronting the deprivation of maternal instinct. This almost crazy and deformed maternal love was full of Seth＇s tears of blood and helplessness. It is also the silent condemn of the slavery.
