本文从国家宏观调控、经济发展条件、社会文化背景三个角度分析美国私立大学发展的社会基础，探究私立大学存在与发展的外部条件。
The paper analyses the social background of the development of American private universities from government administration,economic condition,cultural tradition,discussing the external conditions of the private universities'development.
