Research on Expression and Regulation of the Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor(LDLR) Gene

摘要 低密度脂蛋白受体(LDLR)调节体内胆固醇的平衡是通过其启动区的固醇调节元件(SRE)感受体内胆固醇的变化,从而调控LDLR基因的表达来实现的。胆固醇调节元件结合蛋白(SREBP)、SREBP裂解蛋白(SCAP)参与这一调节。LDLR基因的表达还受到HMG-CoA还原酶抑制剂、激素、细胞生长因子等因素的影响。 The sterol response element (SRE)of the LDL receptor promoter is responsible for normal sterol regulation and the expression of LDLR gene. This regulation involves sterol regulatory element binding proteins(SREBP) and the SREBP cleavage activating protein (SCAP). A number of serum factors and hormones have been reported to regulate LDL receptor expression such as 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase ( HMG-CoA reductase), hormones, Hepatocyte growth factor.
