摘要
FDI作为国际资本流动的主要方式,对发展中国家的经济发展起着相当重要的作用。对发展中国家而言FDI无疑是一个技术和诀窍转移的有效途径。近年来,印度经济改革的一个重要成果便是FDI与日俱增。中国和印度虽然同为发展中大国,FDI在两国经济发展中所起的作用有很大的差异。本文从规模、结构等多个角度对两国利用FDI的绩效进行比较分析,得出虽然FDI对中国经济增长的拉动作用高于印度,但印度的FDI利用效率较中国为高的结论,并据此给出了相关的政策建议。
As a main way of international capital flows, FDI plays a positive and significant role in the economic growth of developing countries. To developing countries, FDI is undoubtedly an effective mechanism for the transfer of technology and know-how. Over recent years, an important achievement of India′s economic reform is reflected in the increasing FDI. China differs greatly from India in FDI though both are big developing countries. This paper analyses the performance of FDI of the two countries from several perspectives such as structure and scale. Our main finding is that, FDI gives a stronger driving force to China′s economic growth than to India′s, but FDI is more efficiently used in India than in China. And based on this finding, we offer some suggestions on policies.
