The earliest Chinese cosmology which derived from Yi Jing is not the same philosophy as the western traditional “consciousness” is and it is also different from those later “root - forgotten” Chinese philosophies (eg. “Li Xue”, “Xin Xue” ). It is substantively a kind of theory about cosmology based on the body distinctly. The body quality of this cosmology not only shows that the ancient Chinese people regarded the whole universe as an embodiment of the human body by revealing thing - in - itself through its function, but also displays that the ancient Chinese people considered the interaction between man and woman as the primal life mechanism of the universe via occurrence of the body. Meanwhile, it also manifests a particular organism understanding of the “Time” which is the concept of Tao in the universe. Obviously, the theoretical and practical significance of revealing an ideology about the body quality of the ancient Chinese cosmology cannot be underestimated by us since it can be regarded as a more thorough reversion of the human beings “Life World”; moreover, it also represents the earliest criticism on modernism whose tendency is to sacrifice the body for gaining greater value.
