摘要
测试是对外汉语教学的重要组成部分,它牵涉到我们对语言能力结构模式的理解认识,关系到我们能否从测试中获得有关教学的准确、具体的信息,影响到我们对课程设置、教学目的制定和教学组织的决策以及对学生、教师或某个教学单位的评估鉴定。本文着重分析中美两国二十余所大学及几个暑期短训班的考试情况。针对与普通教师关系比较密切、对课堂教学影响较大的成绩测试的一些具体问题,从测试效度、信度、考试频率、成绩测试与教学目标、试题内容抽样、题型选择以及回流效应等方面,对成绩测试的有关问题进行了初步探讨。
Testing is an important component of CFL/CSL. It pertains to our conceptualization of various models of language proficiency, and affects our decisions on curriculum design, the specification of teaching objectives, and classroom operation. The design and execution of tests may also have an effect on whether we can obtain accurate information about our teaching, which in turn impacts the evaluation of students' study, teachers' instruction and the effectiveness of a program. This article analyzes the achievement tests used in over a score of Chinese programs in both Chinese and American universities, and discusses the strengths and weaknesses of these tests. It addresses specifically issues such as validity, reliability, testing frequency, the relationships between achievement tests and curriculum objectives, sampling of test items, and washback effect, etc.
