The oxidation state reforming catalyst should be dried and reduced before application. The purities of the drying and reducing mediums and the operating conditions significantly affectedthe growth of the platinum microcrystalline and influenced the activity of the catalyst. The catalytic performance of a deactivated commercial CB-8 Pt-Re reforming catalyst has been entirely recovered after chlorinating and retreating, which can be reused in the commercial unit.
