摘要
GDP缩减指数有明显缺陷一负权数的存在会引起GDP缩减指数与真实价格水平的背离．使GDP缩减指数测度通货膨胀的可靠性受到质疑。文章通过对部分国家GDP缩减指数通货膨胀率与CPI通货膨胀率的比较得出,GDP缩减指数还不能作为一种可靠的指标来测度通货膨胀。
The GDP deflator is an important macroeconomic indicator derived from national accounting. Though the GDP deflator isn＇t designed to measure inflation, it is widely used as an inflation indicator. There exists many differences between GDP deflator and other price indexes. The most important defect of GDP deflator is negative weight in the formula, which distorts true price movements. So this paper concludes the GDP deflator isn＇t a reliable inflation indicator.
