摘要
不少学者追溯医学与公共卫生的分裂始自１９１６年罗氏基金会支持美国在医学院外建立公共卫生学院。其结果是医学院只着重于临床医学。在讨论医学的目的时也自然而然的认为医学的目的就是通过治疗病痛以达到维护和促进健康的目的。本文论述了医学目的的讨论必须将公共卫生整合进来。
AbstractMany scholars argue that the establishment ofschools of public health in the year of 1916,founded byRockefellar Foundation,which brought an unexpectedand undesirable outcome,the schism of medicine andpublic health.As the consequence of this seperation ofmedicine and public health,the entire world of medicineturned to become curative medicine oriented.This prac-tice in fact produced a misleading notion,though not inwritten word,that “the goals of medicine are to maintainand promote health,to avoid death and extend lifethrough curing diseases,relieve pain and suffering.”This paper is to intend to propose an integration ofmedicine and public health in our effort to redefine thegoals of medicine.
