PTMSP membrane was modified by CCl_4 plasma, and the surface of modified membranes was studied by XPS and water contact angle measurements. The experimental results show that the CCl_4 plasma modified membranes exhibit a significant increase in gas selectivity over the unmodified PTMSP.The oxygen-nitrogen separation factorsαo_2/N_2 increased from 1.50 to 7.89 and the oxygen permeation coefficient Po_2 decreased from 9×10_5 Barrer to 9×10_2 Barrer.
