To begin wirh.rhe paper reassure that the traditional indexes such as Paasche’sindex and Fisher‘s ideal index all have their own merits and limits,and then rhceconcomic interpretation of three kinds of indexes is described Based on the systemana}y515,the paper designs a index methodology system. The paper also combinesthe economic meaning of index with index system,thus builds a theoretical back-ground for China’s factor analysis system.
