摘要
IP网络最初设计用来进行数据通信,但现在却越来越多地被用于实时应用,这就要求IP网络能为用户提供更好的服务质量,而不只是“尽最大努力交付”的服务。目前提出的IPQoS方案主要分为综合服务和区分服务两大类。由于现有IP QoS方案所存在的问题及其实现复杂性,使其离实际应用还有一定距离。该文提出了一种通过流量控制来改善IP QoS的方案,并对其基本思想及实现作了介绍。
As IP network originally developed for data communications is now used more and more for real-time applications, there is a need for better quality of service than the "best effort". Currently there are two main efforts to provide IP QoS: the integrated services and the differentiated services. Because of the shortcomings and complexities, there are far from the practicality for the existing IP QoS mechanisms. This paper presents a scheme, which improves IP QoS through traffic control, and details the scheme's main idea and implementation.
