This paper describes a new species of grasshoppers from Shennongjia,Hubei province. The type specimens are preserved in the Department of Biology,Shandong University.Pedopodisma shennongjiaensis sp. nov.(figs.1-7)This new species is similar to Pedopodisma protrocula Zheng, but differs in :1 )size of body larger, 2) subgenital plate of male extended backwards,apex sharp;3)cerci of male are different in shape; 4) posterior margin of pronotum with triangular hollow in middle,5) epiphallus is different in shape.Holotype ♂, allotype♀, paratype ♂,Shennongjia,Hubei Province,Aug.18,1990.
