摘要
根据目前文字识别系统的特点,提出了一种用FPGA实现文字识别系统的方案。该方案主要是利用FPGA对文字识别中识别率较高的改进的轮廓方向角方向分解的方法进行特征提取和文字识别,在进行方向分解时,直接利用水平方向分量和垂直方向分量的比值来代替原来改进的轮廓方向角中的求正切运算。通过实验发现,与传统的用软件实现的方案比较,该方案更能适合便携式文字识别设备,在保持较高的识别准确度的同时,大大提高了文字识别的处理速度。
After studying the characteristic of the current character recognition system, a new character recognition system based on FPGA is proposed in this paper. The main idea of this system is to realize the modified counter direction angle decomposition method, which has high recogonition correct rate by using FPGA. Direction decomposition by calculating Tangent value in the original modified counter direction angle decomposition method is modified. Comparing to those traditional algorithms based on software,this algorithm is more suitable for those portable character recognition equipments. It can increase the character recognition speed while remaining high recognition correct rate.
