摘要
从“交通”一词的文化内涵入笔,回顾了中国最早的大学之一———西安交通大学的诞生、发展、壮大和取得辉煌成就的110年的历史,尤其是西迁五十年来西安交通大学“胸怀大局,无私奉献,弘扬传统,艰苦创业”的发展历程,不仅总结了西安交通大学始终以培养优秀人才、追求学术卓越和服务社会为使命,以自主创新引领科学研究所取得的成就,而且总结了西安交通大学深厚的大学精神和文化,歌颂了交通大学师生员工的西迁壮举和西迁精神,明确提出了西安交通大学新时期的使命和远景。
Beginning with the cultural connotations of the term ＂jiatong＂, the paper systematically reviews the 110 - year history of the birth, development, growth and completion of brilliant achievements of Xi＇an Jiaotong University having the （ XJTU）, one of the earliest universities in China, and especially its 50 - year historic course of general situation at heart, ring an enterprise with painstaking making selfless contributions, carrying forward fine traditions and pioneering an enterprise with painstaking efforts＂ since its westward move. The paper sums up not only always takes it as its own mission to cultivate excellent talented people, pursue academic excellence and serve the society, and leads achievements in scientific research in an innovative and autonomous way, but also the profound university spirit and culture of XJTU. It praises the feat and spirit of westward move of the staff members, workers and students of XJTU. The paper explicitly brings forward the mission and prospect of XJTU in the new era.
