摘要
随着计算机软硬件技术的发展以及地质图件编绘工作对于制图技术要求的不断提高,GIS作为一门独立的学科日益受到地质工作者的青睐。其中最重要的原因就是GIS具有不同于一般制图系统的强大的空间数据库以及建立在数据库基础上的查询和分析功能。本文以MAPGIS编制地质图的过程为例,着重从地质图数据库的建立来讨论GIS在地质图件编绘中的应用。
Along with the computer hardware and software technology developing and the geological mapping technique requirements increasing, the geologists are giving more and more attention to GIS. One of the most important factors is that GIS can provide powerful spatial database and query and analysis functions based on this database. This paper will take the use of MAPGIS in geological mapping as an example to mainly discuss GIS application to geological mapping in geological map database establishment.
