Tranilast in absolute alcohol shows a maximum absorption at 335 nm.UV spectrophotometry for the determination of tranilast in tranilast capsule is described.The method is sensitive and accurate.The linear range is from 2 to 10 μg/ml and the recovery is 100.0%.
