摘要
麦尔维尔是美国19世纪的著名作家,《白鲸》是他的代表作,在这部作品中象征手法得到了淋漓尽致的运用。通过对《白鲸》中象征手法的分析,尤其是剖析各个要素在作品中不同的象征意义,不但能够进一步了解作者对象征手法的娴熟的运用,并且能够体会到象征主义对美国文学的巨大影响。
Herman Melville is a great American writer of the 19th century, and Moby - Dick is always generally regarded as his master piece. In this work, symbolization is given a full use. This paper shows how the writer was skilled at symbolization by the analysis of the various factors. It will also show the great influence of symbolism on Amcrioan literature.
