摘要
随着人类社会步入知识经济时代,大学被誉为人类社会发展的“动力站”。什么是知识?怎样有效地获取知识变得日趋重要。纽曼的知识观对于如今深陷功利狂潮的高等教育理论和实践都具有重要的借鉴意义。本文拟从三个方面对纽曼的知识观进行探讨;知识本身即为目的;知识与理智的辩证关系:知识为扩展理智的必要条件;理智为使知识系统化、条理化、概括化的必要条件;知识获取:同化、顺应,沟通、交流,自我教育。
