t has been recorded that the adduct of C60 with polyallylamine displayed the fluorescence emission at 386 nm and 683 nm with the exciting wavelength at 250 nm and 528nm, respectively, at room tempreture. C60 does not possess the fluorescence emission. Considering polyallylamine is an aliphatic primary amine, it adds easily to C60via a single electron transfer process. The adduct of C60 with polyallylamine would lose the spherical symmetry of C60 and lead to the exhibition of fluorescence. In order to clarify this, we prepared additive products of C60 With low molecular weight amines including primary and secondary amines such as butylamine, dodecylamine,octadecylamine, diethylamie and dibutylamine. The fluorescence emissions are recorded as expected. The concentrational self-queching effect, the fluorescence life-time and the fluorescence quenching by TCNQ are also undertaken.
