摘要
象征手法的运用是弗兰纳里·奥康纳创作的突出特点,这一特点使她的作品不仅成功地揭示了生活的底蕴, 而且具有震撼人心的冲击力和沁人心脾的艺术魅力。针对这一特点,从背景象征、事物象征、名字象征和行为象征4 方面探讨绝妙、新奇而深邃的象征在短篇小说《好人难寻》中预示故事结局和人物命运的草蛇灰线,伏脉千里的艺术效果。
The fantastic application of symbols is one of Flannery O＇Connor＇s outstanding writing techniques which makes her works impressive, amazing and profound. Based on a detailed analysis of her fantastic application of symbols in four aspects, this paper is to prove that O＇Connor is to shadow artistically the ending and the fate of the characters of the story by hinted signs, namely, the various symbols.
