摘要新城市主义是20世纪90年代兴起的一项城市规划和设计领域的改革运动。从新城市主义对郊区蔓延的批判出发,介绍了新城市主义的可持续发展的规划思想和在各领域的实践活动及产生的学术争议与社会影响,并探讨了新城市主义在中国可能产生的影响和中国建筑师在面对这一思潮所应采取的态度。 New urbanism is a reform in the field of city planning and designing in the 1990s. Based on the criticism of new urbanism to suburbs sprawl, this paper introduces the theory of sustainable development of new urbanism and its practices in every field, including the academic disputes and social influence that the theory has brought about. Besides, this paper explores the possible influence of new urbanism in China and the attitudes Chinese architects should have when facing this trend of thought.
