摘要
香港湿地公园是香港特别行政区政府指定的千禧年基本工程项目之一。它位于香港新界西北部,天水围新市镇以北,毗邻米埔内后海湾拉姆萨尔湿地。公园占地约61hm2,包括一个占地约10000m2的访客中心,及60hm2为野生生物而建造的户外再造生境。访客在这里可亲身体验世界各地不同的湿地生态环境。公园预期于2006年年初启用。
The Hong Kong Wetland Park Project is a millennium engineering project designated by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Park is located in the northeast of Tin Shui Wai new Town, close to the Mai Po Inner Deep Bay Ramsar Site. The Park that is 61 hm^2 includes a visitor center of about 10 000 m^2 and 60 hm^2 of artificial re-created habitats for wildlife. Visitors will experience close encounter with a diversity of wetland ecosystems around the world. The Park is scheduled to be opened to the public in early 2006.
