摘要
本文概要回顾和总结了西方区域经济理论的渊源、发展轨迹、主要代表人物及其基本观点,梳理了从德国的古典区位论到现代区位论再到区域经济理论产生和演变的历史过程。从新经济地理学、新增长理论和新区域主义3个角度分析和介绍了西方区域经济理论的最新进展和理论前沿,并对西方区域经济理论的前景及面临的挑战进行了预测和简要分析。
The study of regional economic theory is the most active research area in modern applied economics. This paper essentially and systematically reviews and summarizes the origin, the development and the main representatives of western regional economic theory. It covers the whole process from the German classical regional theory to modern regional theory and from the beginning to the evolvement of the regional economic theory. The paper analyzes the latest development and the theoretical front of the western regional economic theory from three angles： the neo-economic geography, the neo-growth theory and the neo-regionalism. Finally, the paper presents a prediction and an analysis of the prospect and challenge of the western regional economic theory.
