4×4 Intra-prediction Selection Method for H.264/AVC

摘要 给出了一种基于统计的4×4块帧内预测模式选择算法,其核心思想是利用进行帧间预测和16×16块帧内预测后产生的已知信息,判断是否可以跳过4×4块帧内预测,从而减少了计算花费。与已有的快速算法相比,不需要增加额外计算,实现简单。实验结果显示,改进后4×4预测时间消耗平均降低7.5倍,PSNR平均只有0.032dB的损失,且比特率也呈减小趋势。 A efficient 4 × 4 Intra-prediction mode selection method based on statistic is proposed. According to RD cost values of Inter and 16 × 16 Intra- prediction, this method decide whether 4 × 4 Intra- prediction can be skipped. In this way, it considerably save coding time of 4 × 4 Intra-prediction with only a little PSNR degradation and reducing bit rate. Compared with other fast methods, our method involves no additional computational complexity and can be implemented very easily.
