摘要
本文根据区域持续发展研究的内容和西北地区发展面临的形势，分析了该区持续发展研究的基本问题．
Along with the shifting of the heart of economic construction westward in China,Northwest China will become an important base of energy resources,exploitation and construction of raw materials in near future with its vast land and rich natural resources. Its ecological environment, however,is extremely weak, and the environmental hazards occour friquently here.The greater influences on the ecological environment will be brought about by the exploitation of resources and regional development in a large scale.The basic problems of the regional sustainable development study are discussed based on the results of resent regional development study and the analyses of the existing contradictions in the development of Northwest China.
