摘要
现代高校图书馆不仅要重视管理和技术。还要为读者创建良好的学习和研究氛围。文章从图书馆的建筑环境、管理环境、文化环境、信息环境、人文环境等要素．阐述了新世纪高校图书馆必须营造一个可以激发和提升读者的求知欲望与探索热情，提高学习和研究效率的优雅环境。使他们在舒适的环境中完成对信息的收集，大大提高文献资源的利用率。
This PaPer expatiates that college libraries of the new centurY should create favorable environment to inspire the readers＇ thirst and enthusiasm for knowledge, as well as to improve the efficiency of their studY and research so that they can make a good collection of information and a good use of literature resources, it presents a detailed analysis on some environmental construction elements including environments of buildings, management, culture, information, humanism and so on.
