摘要
本文简述了IMPATT器件的设计、制造工艺、振荡器的微波电路结构和脉冲调制的研制。对脉冲偏置期间产生的频啁效应作了原理性的说明,并提出了减小频啁带宽的方法。目前所研制的八毫米雪崩管振荡器输出功率在20W以上,最大脉冲输出功率在35.5GHz时达到48W。重复频率在1—100kHz范围内可调,脉宽从50ns—1μs可调。频率稳定,工作可靠。
In this paper,the design consideration and fabrication technology of an IMPATT diode,microwave circuit structure, and a pulse modulator are described.The chirp effect duringpulse biasing and the way of reducing the band width are introduced.The output power ofthe 8 mm pulse IMPATT oscillators is over 20 W at frequency range of 34-36 GHz with repetitionrate from 1 kHz to 100 kHz.The pulse width is from 50 ns to 1μs.The frequency isstable and the reliability is high. The highest output power measured is 48 W at 35.5 GHz.
