摘要
本文根据国家与湖南省社会和经济发展要求，以及全国和湖南省公共图书馆事业发展实际，对“九五”期间湖南省公共图书馆事业规模、文献资源建设。自动化程度等方面提出了若干设想，并就实现这些目标提出了若干政策性建议，旨在把湖南省公共图书馆推上一个新台阶。
Some thoughts in this paper are given about Hunan Public Library's development,document building and amount of autometion during the 9th 'five-year plan' on the basis of social and economic demands of Hunan and China, and still of the practical development of Hunan Public Library and the public libraries of the whole country. Besidles a number of constructive proposals are put forward in the attain ment of those goals for the purpose of strengthening the development of Hunan Public Library.
