本文论述了确定西文科技期刊中核心期刊的必要性，并结合实际探讨了如何确定核心期刊以进一步加强西文科技期刊的科学管理。
Periodicals have found special favour in readers' eyes in which they are characterized by their promptness. density and continuity in covering the latest information. It is these striking features of the periodicals that have caught more and more attention among those who are working in the management of periodicals. ) This paper begins with the necessity and determination of key scientific & technical periodicals. Then it examines the problem of how to improve the management of scientific and technical periodicals in foreign languages through determining key periodicals. (It is hoped that the deepening of reform in the management of Periodicals will make it possible that they will be used to the best advatage. )
