Synthesis and crystal structure of 3,5,3',5'-tetra-tert-butyl-stilbene-4,4'-quinone

摘要 Reaction of sodium 2,6-di-tert-buty1-4-methylphenolate with CuCl o CuCl2 in THF affords metallic copper and 3,5,3’,5’-tetra-tert-butyl-stilbene4,4’-quinone in good yield.The product was characterized by melting point,elemental analysis,IR,MS and X-ray cerystallography.The molecular structure of the title compound was for the first time elucidated. Reaction of sodium 2,6 - di - tert - butyl - 4 - methylphenolate with CuC1 o CuC12 in THF affords metallic copper and 3,5,3' ,5' - tetra - tert - butyl - stilbene - 4,4' - quinone in good yield. The product was characterized by melting point, elemental analysis ,IR, MS and X- ray eerystallography. The molecular structure of the title compound was for the first time elucidated.
