摘要
Reaction of sodium 2,6-di-tert-buty1-4-methylphenolate with CuCl o CuCl2 in THF affords metallic copper and 3,5,3’,5’-tetra-tert-butyl-stilbene4,4’-quinone in good yield.The product was characterized by melting point,elemental analysis,IR,MS and X-ray cerystallography.The molecular structure of the title compound was for the first time elucidated.
