摘要
本文回顾了常规的图像编码技术及其进展，介绍了近年来迅猛发展起来的新的图像编码技术，并讨论了这些技术的发展前景。
General picture coding technique is reviewed in this paper. Some new picture coding techniques are introduced. The prospects of these techniques are discussed.
