摘要
文章就词素的数量与来源、词素的长度与读音、词素的形式与意义、词素在词中的位置与意义、词素与构形等问题,采用图释法和数据进行了论述,揭示英汉语词素在诸方面的异同。认为语言中词素的不同表征反映出英汉语的本质特性,是语言研究和英、汉语言教学必须注意的问题。
This article is a contrastive study of morphemes on lexical level in English and Chinese. Comparison is made with examples and statistics in such areas of the source and quantity of morphemes, the length and sound of morphemes, the form and meaning of morphemes, the position of morphemes in words and their effect on meaning, the role of new forms composed of morphemes, etc. It is believed that the discrepancies revealed in the study manifest the fundamental characteristics of the two languages and provide implications for research on and the teaching and learning of English and Chinese.
