摘要
西方文学与《圣经》有着千丝万缕的联系,因此人们在阅读欣赏西方文学作品时,也就自然与《圣经》联系起来。在小说《吉姆爷》中,作者康拉德采用象征的艺术手法对书名、吉姆的家境、形象、言行等方面进行了“神似”的类比描写,而这些手法都与《圣经》相关,但是这些原型意象在使用上并非系统连贯。所以,探讨《圣经》对这些引喻的影响和作品的欣赏都很有必要。
Western literature and Bible are connected in various ways, therefore the reading and appreciation of works of Western literature are naturally linked up with Bible. In the novel Lord Jim Conrad symbolically compares Jim to God in the ways like the diction of the title, family environment, appearance and image, language and behavior, etc. Those symbolizations are all connected with Bible. But these archetypcs are not consistent and not systematic. Thus the analysis of the influence of Bible on these allusions and the appreciation of the literary works are quite necessary.
