摘要
粤西是广东境内粤语小称“儿”尾比较发达的地区,尤其是茂名市所辖五个市县(茂名、高州、信宜、电白、化州)表现更为典型。本文就此现象作专题讨论,分四部分进行:壹、茂名地区小称的语音类型。贰、各种小称形式之间的内在联系。叁、“儿”尾与变调关系再论。肆、结论。
Suffix -er 儿 is a typical diminutive of the Yue dialects in western Guangdong,particularly in the counties of Maoming, Gaozhou, Xinyi, Dianbai, and Huazhou. This paper covers four sections as follows： 1） Phonetic types ot diminutives in the Maoming dialect; 2） internal relations among these phonetic types of diminutives; 3） a further discussion on the relation between suffix -er 儿 and tone changes; and 4） conclusion.
