摘要
中国南方古代铜鼓源远流长。古籍记载,铜鼓铸成后必须经过调音才能使用。我们考察了大量的铜鼓,取得了许多有关铜鼓调音的资料。在此基础上,讨论了北流型铜鼓的声学特性,分析了铜鼓的调音方法。我们发现铜鼓调音刮痕的分布具有严整的规律,这种刮痕的分布竟与现代声学中圆板振动的节线分布模式完全吻合。这表明古代少数民族工匠对铜鼓调音已经掌握了一套合乎科学道理的方法。
The history of ancient bronze drums in Southern China goes back to remote times. According to the records in ancient books, after a bronze drum was made, it could not be used without tuning. We have observed and studied many bronze drums, and gained a lot of information about their tuning. On this basis, the acoustic characteristics of Beiliu type bronze drums were discussed with an analysis of their methods of tuning. We found that the distribution of the scars for tuning was of regular patterns in neat formation. Such distribution of scars coincides completely with the modes of nodal distribution of circle-plate-vibration in modern acoustics. This shows that the ancient minority craftsmen had learned the scientific ways for tuning bronze drums.
