摘要
目的:探讨原发性甲状腺功能减退引起的垂体增生的临床及MRI表现。方法:分别对2例原发性甲状腺功能减退患者行垂体MRI平扫及增强扫描,并在甲状腺素替代治疗3个月后行MRI复查。结果:2例患者MRI平扫均可见到垂体明显增大,信号均匀,视交叉受压,增强后垂体均匀强化。治疗3个月后复查MRI示垂体明显缩小。结论:此类存在甲状腺功能减退实验室证据的患者,应提高对其垂体增生磁共振成像表现的认识,以避免误诊。
Objective:Clinical and MRI manifestations in 2 cases of pituitary hyperplasia in primary hypothyroidism were reported. Methods:2 cases of pituitary hyperplasia in primary hypothyroidism were examined with MRI without and with Gd-DTPA administration. Follow-up MRI were done after 3 months of thyroxine treatment Results:Obvious enlargement of pituitary gland was revealed in MRI without contrast enhancement showing homogeneous signal intensity. Compression of optic chisam could also be seen. After Gd-DTPA administration, pituitary gland appeared homogeneously enhanced. Follow-up MRI after 3 months of thyroxine treatment, pituitary gland reduced in size markedly. Conclusion: Pituitary gland hyperplasia could be existed in patients with primary hypothyroidsm proved by laboratory examinations. Recognition of this condition plays an important role in the differential diagnosis with primary pituitary tumor, and unnecessary surgery could be avoided.
