摘要
在中西译论交流过程中,国内有学者认为严复的“信达雅”系抄袭一百年前英国翻译家泰特勒的翻译三原则。鉴于两种翻译理论在中西翻译界的突出地位,本文追溯了两种理论在各自文化体系内的渊源,比较了两种理论的异同,并分析了抄袭说出现的原因。最后提出,中西译论交流应注意三个方面的问题:正确对待中西译论的异同;正确对待中西译论各自的优缺点;注重与传统译论相互参照,相互阐释,以发扬传统译论的特色。
It has long remained a controversial issue in translation studies thatYan Fu lifted his three translation criteria .firm Tytler. With a view to the importance of the two theories in world translation field the authors trace their evolution, make a comparative study of them and probe into causes behind this controversy. Finally, the authors propose that in the dialogue betwwen Chinese and Western translation academies there are three points worthy of notice： to see the differences as well as the similarities thereof; to see the strong as well as the weak points thereof; to learn the westem scholarship in the light of the traditional Chinese translation theories so as to promote the uniqueness of the latter.
