In the tetrahydrofuran cationic polymerization initiated by CH-3OCSbCl_5,the chain transfer reaction from active center to succinic anhydride is found. The apparent chain transfer rate constant ktr for the chain transfer reaction and the apporent pohymerization rate constant kp are determined. In the Paper,we also investigate the influence of the chain transfer on the polytetrahydrofuran tensile strength and the potential value for the exploitation.
