摘要
习语(the idiomatic pharases)中蕴含着丰富的文化信息,包含着大量的文化特征和文化背景,具有鲜明的形象和比喻,带有鲜明的民族特色和地域色彩。本文通过对英汉习语文化内涵的分析和比较,指出了习语翻译中存在的问题,归纳了习语翻译所采用的方法。
The idioms contain wealth cultural information, they also contain plenty of cultural characters and background It has not only clear image and analogy, but also distinctive national character and local colour. By analyzing and comparing the cultural connotations of English-Chinese idioms, the common mistakes in idicrnatic translation are found, the methods of idiomatic translation are concluded in this thesis.
