any people are embarrased by the presence of rosacea,which is a chronic in flamatory disease. We have de-veloped a 0. 75% concentration gel of metronidazole according to the newest report. Metronidazole content in thegel was directly measured by UV spectrophotometry at 277nm, with few interference by other ingredients, includingthe base. The average recovery was 98. 7 % (RSD= 1. 76 %). This method is very simple. Convenient and sensitive.PH and gelatinous strength was measured,too.
