世界文明史上一切优良的编辑传统,都是构建当代编辑思想的基础。编辑出版业作为文化建设和精神文明建设的重要阵地,广泛而持久地影响着人们的理想信念、思想境界、文化传承和知识积累。在科学发展、文化创新的21世纪,建立现代编辑思想既是时代发展的要求,也是编辑实现自我更新、传播先进文化、承载人类文明的历史重任。纵观我国编辑出版史,编辑思想的价值取向主要表现为“注重编辑活动内容和形式的创新”、“不以名家而以质量定稿件取舍标准”、“制定并坚守出版理念”以及“热情真挚的读者服务精神”。

They have an impact on people＇s beliefs, ideal state, transmission of culture and accumulation of knowledge. In 21st century, establishment of modern editorial thoughts is not only the times＇ requirement, but also the important task shouldered by the editors for self-refreshment, promotion of advanced culture etc. By making a survey of editorial and publishing history, orientation of editorial thoughts＇ value can be described as “emphasis on the innovation of content and form of editorial activities”, “judging a paper by its academic value not by the person who wrote it”, “readers-oriented service spirit”.
