The Expression of COX-1 and COX-2 Following Brain Injuries

摘要 环加氧酶(cyclooxygenase,COX)是催化花生四烯酸(arachidonic,AA)合成前列腺素(prostaglandin,PG)的限速酶。后者在调节有丝分裂、凋亡、血管生成、血流动力学、继发性脑损伤及炎症反应等过程中发挥重要作用。COX有两种亚型:COX-1和COX-2。近年来研究证实,COX-1和COX-2在脑损伤过程中扮演了重要的角色。 Cyclooxygenase (COX) is the obligate, rate-limiting enzyme for the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins, which mediate mitogenesis, apoptosis, angiogenesis, blood flow, secondary injury, and inflammation. COX is consi st of 2 subtypes: COX-1 and COX-2. In recent years, there are a number of lines of evidence that COX-1 and COX-2 play a important in role brain injuries.
