摘要
本文旨在分析商务谈判中责任型情态隐喻的人际意义。结合韩礼德系统功能语法的相关理论,通过实例分析,作者发现说话者通过选择不同形式的责任型情态隐喻能够实现礼貌表达,客观化自己的观点,拉近双方关系等人际交往功能。
This paper aims to analyze the interpersonal meanings of deontic modality metaphor in business negotiation English. Based on Halliday’ theory of systemic-functional grammar, we analyze some business negotiation conversations. Through analyses, we find that deontic modality metaphor can help the speaker express different interpersonal meanings, such as showing politeness, objectifying the speaker’ s opinion, and shortening the distance to each other.
